Culture, values & commitment

A strong and distinctive culture – with which employees identify and to which they are committed – is something that sets an organisation apart. However, sometimes organisations have an espoused culture and values but the reality doesn’t match the words.

We believe that practising what you preach in terms of values is absolutely crucial. We can work with your organisation to help you define – or re-define – the culture and associated values that you truly desire. This can be done initially with the top team, followed by a programme of engagement that gets everyone in the organisation involved in bringing the values to life. Or you can include everyone in the organisation, or a representative sample of people, from the outset.

Organisational cultures are individual. However, as a learning and development consultancy, we of course feel strongly that having a strong element of organisational learning and personal responsibility for development is important to all organisations! (Especially at the moment). We can help to run events and design policies that can help to promote these particular aspects.

Motivation, commitment and personal resilience are also issues within organisations at the moment, and may become increasingly so. There are no easy answers, but we’ve been finding that identifying and capitalising on people’s strengths is one of the things that seems to make a positive difference to how they feel, as well as to their performance. We can work with you to build strengths-based approaches into learning and development in your organisation.
